I watch Merlin because I love the character of Merlin. I keep watching Merlin, despite all the stories about boring Arthur, Morgana, Gwen and knights, because Merlin himself keeps me watching.

So, the show could be just about Merlin reading the phone book and you’d watch it?

Every character of this show accomplished their destiny except for MERLIN!

They have? When the hell did that happen, is there a season that I missed?

Of course this “Merlin” should be more about Merlin! That’s logical! He is the main character, the title character and the one the stories are about!

If the show were called “Camelot”, should it be about the castle, then? And all the characters would spend their time commenting on architecture?

That question shouldn’t be asked since the answer is so logical. Of course “Merlin” should be more about Merlin. I mean, “Sherlock” is about Sherlock and “Dr Who” is about Dr Who, right?

Arthur -> prat, Prince, King and married
Gwen -> maid, love interest, cheater, Queen and married
Morgana -> ward, sorceress, evil Queen, sorceress
Knights -> commoners, knights
Merlin -> er…. servant, servant, servant, servant

OP -> blind, blind, blind, stupid, blind

For goodness’ sake… Arthur is King, Gwen is Queen, the Knights are there.

No more evolution necessary! I’m glad you are here to dumb down things for me.

I want “Merlin” to be REALLY about Merlin. I want episodes in which Merlin goes on quests alone. I want episodes without any Arthur just to remind everyone that Merlin is the title character.

There is nothing I can add that would make this any more stupid.

There is DEFINITELY another version of the show out there, isn’t there? Where is this Arwen-centric storyline? Someone tell me, I want to watch that one instead!

Well, I watch only for Merlin. I sincerely don’t like the other characters.

How can you watch a show because of ONE character? What? You realize each character is molded by those around them and their relationships and, oh bloody hell. It’s no use. Yes, Merlin is the bee’s knees and the show should be just about him reading the phone book.

Yes Merlin as a character has been somewhat neglected for the last 2 series of the show, so that Arthur’s story as well as Gwen’s, Morgana’s and the Knights’ could be explored.

  • About season 6: another season with your sexist crap, fanservice and lazy writing? No, thank you.
  • About the movie: have you seen your show? If I were to play a drinking game of drinking a shot every time there’s a continuity mistake, I’d need a new liver. Assuming I lived, of course. And you want to make a MOVIE? No, thank you.
  • About an animated series: so, you disguise your lazy writing as dumbing it down for kids, and you want to make Merlin ANIMATED? Like, for a full-on younger audience? To pull in even less of an effort in the writing? No, thank you.
